Nomad
Web UI keyboard shortcuts
Navigate the UI with your keyboard
The Nomad Web UI supports several keyboard shortcuts in order to help users navigate and operate Nomad. You can use common key commands to inspect jobs, view logs, monitor evaluations, and more.
Type ?
from anywhere in the UI to launch the Keyboard Shortcuts panel.
Hold Shift to view hints
Hold the shift
key from anywhere in the UI to bring up inline hints. These hints are contextual: for example, the u
hint to traverse up a breadcrumb only appears when you are in a nested route.
Rebind or disable commands
From the Keyboard Shortcuts modal, click on any pattern to re-bind it to the shortcut of your choosing. This shortcut persists via your browser's local storage and across refreshes. You can also toggle the Keyboard shortcuts enabled option to disable them completely.
Working with lists
The Nomad UI has many pages with lists or tables of data. To traverse these pages quickly and efficiently, hold shift
and a number on your keyboard corresponding to the line number in order to navigate to that item's link. Single-digit numbers require typing a leading zero (0).
The next several guides will provide a structured walkthrough, starting with submitting a job through the Nomad UI.
